The Horses of Southwestern Häme Project

The town of Ypäjä is home to the Finnhorse. Forssa Region in Southwestern Häme celebrates the 110th anniversary of the Finnhorse on various occasions during the Centenary of Finland in 2017 and promotes the visibility of this equine region both nationally and internationally.

The celebration consists of various ceremonies and an international conference GEEC. The event and its outdoor activities are open to the public.

The production of the GEEC conference program has received financial support (via The Horses of Southwestern Häme Project) from the Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment and Louna-Plussa Leader Goup, formed by municipalities of Forssa, Humppila, Jokioinen, Tammela, and Ypäjä in promotion of rural development.
